Men's Soccer drops its first NE-10 Conference match of
the season
Waltham, Mass. - The Bryant University men's
soccer team fell to Bentley 1-0 on Wednesday. The Bulldog's are now
1-2-1 overall with a NE-10 Conference record of 1-1. Bryant will
next host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday with a noon start
time.
In a game that was filled with wasted opportunities on each end,
it was Ryan Parisi of Bentley, who would provide the deciding blow
early in the second half. The ball fell to Parisi 14 yards from
goal after Bryant was unable to clear a corner kick and the senior
midfielder drilled a shot inside the near post to give Bentley the
lead.
Despite Heavy pressure by Bryant following the goal and an 11-2
advantage in shots in the second half, the Bentley defense was able
to keep the Bulldogs from finding an equalizer.
The Bulldog's had a solid performance in goal from
sophomore keeper Tom Madden (Saco, ME) who
compiled five saves and only allowed the goal while facing 15
shots.
