Bulldogs falls to Assumption 5-2
Worcester, MA - The Bryant University field
hockey team fell 5-2 to Assumption on Saturday, September
24. The Bulldogs return to action next Sunday, October 2nd,
when they will host Northeast-10 foe Stonehill at 11:00am.
Junior Laynie Sadler (Rehoboth, MA) got the
Bulldogs off to a hot start scoring just over a minute into the
game on an assist from sophomore Courtney O'Brien
(Tewksbury, MA). This was Sadler's seventh goal of the season which
is a team high.
The game was then tied later in the first half until O'Brien
netted the Bulldogs second goal on a pass from junior
Deanne Viveiros (Tiverton, RI) to put Bryant on
top 2-1. O'Brien now has three goals and four assists for the
season.
The game was tied 2-2 going into halftime. Assumption would go
on to win the game 5-2.
