TOP-RANKED LE MOYNE DEFEATS BRYANT 8-1

    SMITHFIELD, RI -- Le Moyne's Jason Long scored three goals and added an assist while Ryan Lewis netted a pair of goals - including the game-winner - plus chipped in with two assists to lead top-ranked Le Moyne to an 8-1 win over Bryant University here Saturday.
      Le Moyne (5-0, 5-0 NE-10) opened the scoring with a goal from Lewis at 8:08, beating Bryant goalie Matt Lovejoy after picking up a rebound in the crease.  Lewis would follow that with the game-winner just over three minutes later in the first with another unassisted shot from 20-yards out to make it 2-0 with 4:53. 
      Bryant (3-1, 2-1 NE-10) would tally its only goal with just one second left in the first half as freshman Brent Stoothoff took a pass from Andrew Serge and ripped a shot past Le Moyne goalie Jared Corcoran to make it 4-1.  Corcoran made seven saves for the Dolphins while Lovejoy had nine.
      Le Moyne would tack on four more goals in the second half to remain undefeated.  Bryant will travel to Merrimack on Thursday and host C.W. Post for a non-conference game next Saturday at 1 p.m.
