field hockey falls to Stonehill 3-1

The Bryant University field hockey team dropped a tough NE-10
Conference game on Sunday to Stonehill 3-1. The Bulldogs fall to
3-8 overall and 2-7 in the conference. Bryant will host Bentley on
Tuesday with a 4:00pm start time.
The first half was filled with back and forth action with little
scoring opportunities for either team. Most of the play was in the
middle of the field. Things would heat up in the second half where
four goals were scored.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead when sophomore
Caroline Carr (Wrentham, MA) took a pass from
fellow sophomore Courtney O'Brien
(Tewksbury, MA) and fired it past the keeper. It was Carr's
six goal of the season.
The Skyhawks would answer and the tie the game at 1-1 about 10
minutes later on a goal from sophomore Aly Boulis (Lincoln, RI).
Just three minutes later Stonehill would take a 2-1 lead when
junior Courtney Campbell (Reading, MA) connected for the eventual
game winner. Boulis would go on and add another goal to give the
Skyhawks a 3-1 victory.
