Sean Oates begins his first season with the Bulldogs in 2025-26. He will serve as Basketball Innovation and Data.

Oates comes to Smithfield after gaining experience across several professional and collegiate organizations. He has worked with the New York Yankees, Hartford Athletic, New York Boulders and Fairfield University Athletics.

Oates graduated from Fairfield with a bachelor's degree in Sports Business and Management. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with concentrations in Finance and Marketing Analytics.
