Ricardo Monje begins his first season as a volunteer assistantcoach for the Bryant women’s soccer team in the spring of2014, dealing primarily in the areas of technical development.
Monje, hailing from Chile, comes to Bryant with extensiveDivision I professional experience in club and European Cup play.His experience as an attacking Midfield/Forward enables Monje toeffectively teach attacking skills, aided by his ability tobreak-down the associated, step by step, technical aspects of thegame.
As a player, Monje developed his skills in the ChileanDevelopmental Program, eventually playing professionally in Chilewith Deportes Antofagasta, Universidad Catolica, Deportes Inuique,Provincial Osorno, Santiago Morning, and in the United States withthe Worcester Wildfire, Western Massachusetts Pioneers and mostrecently with the Worcester Kings in 2002. He also played on theU-16 and U-23 Chilean National Teams.
Monje currently serves as a coach for FC United U-12 boys soccerprogram.
Ricardo has received national coaching licenses from the Chilean(“A” License) and United States Soccer Federations(“A” License). Ricardo coaches with Football ClubUnited (MAPLE) and the Worcester Youth Soccer League.
