Paul Reilly enters his third season assisting theBryant University men's and women's cross country teams and men'sand women's distance track & field runners. Reilly, whocurrently serves as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Advising atBryant, was a former standout collegiate runner at ProvidenceCollege.
In 2010, Reilly assisted the team to anunfaltering season that saw the improvement of multiplerunners. A tactical mix of freshman and upperclassmen paved the wayfor Bryant XC to continue to elevate its level of competition, asthe men's and women's side captured sixth and eighth placerespectively in the conference.
In his first year with the program, Reilly saw the Bulldogs makeimprovements and had several runners with top 20 finishes includingstandout freshman Deidre Doyle (Carlow, Ireland)who was named XC All-NEC and finished seventh overall atconference championships.
The 2009 indoor season for track and field proved to besuccessful as well for the Bulldogs as Reilly helped the men'ssquad to a sixth place finish.
While at Providence, Reilly participated on two BIG EASTConference cross country championship teams and was a scoringmember of the Friar team that finished third at the 2000 NCAADivision I Championships.
Serving as team captain of both the Providence cross country andtrack teams in 2001 and 2002, Reilly was the New England and IC4A3,000 meter champion and was an NCAA Division I qualifier in the5,000 meters.
A native of Ireland, Reilly competed for the Irish National teamat the World Cross Country Championships in 2001.
He is currently competing in several area races and owns apersonal best time of 4.08 in the mile as well as a 8.11 in the3,000m, 13.56 in the 5,000m, and 23.43 in the 8K.
Reilly earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from Providencein 2002 and master's degree in 2004. He is currentlycompleting an MBA at Bryant University.
