Frankie Dobbs

After an illustrious career as a player, Frankie Dobbs enters his fifth season on the Bulldog coaching staff and third as an assistant coach after serving as the team's Director of Basketball Operations for the two seasons.

A senior captain for the Bulldogs in 2012-13, Dobbs led Bryant to its first-ever Division I postseason berth, guiding the team to the No. 3 seed in the Northeast Conference Tournament and into the College Basketball Invitational (CBI). In a college career that began at Ohio University, Dobbs spent his final three seasons in Smithfield and has appeared in 121-of-123 games at point guard throughout his four-year career. At Bryant, he earned 90 starts in 91 games, earning an All-NEC Third Team selection as a senior.

A 1,000-point scorer who also boasted 500-career assists, Dobbs graduated from Bryant in 2013 with 1,232 career points, 1,172 of them coming in a Bulldog uniform, He averaged 13.0 points per game donning the Black and Gold, and shot 38.7 percent from the floor (355-918) and 34.9 percent from long range (191-548) over four seasons of play.

Dobbs left his mark on the Bulldog program upon graduation and currently ranks in the program's top-10 in assists (2nd), assists per game (2nd), free throws made (4th), free throw percentage (5th) and 3-pointers (6th).

Dobbs graduated from Bryant in 2012 with a degree in business management and earned his MBA from Bryant in 2013.
