Dusan Obsajsnik enters fifth season as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs in 2016.
A former professional player in the Czechoslovakian first division, Obsajsnik brings more than 30 years of coaching experience to Smithfield. Obsajsnik, who holds his USSF “A” coaching license, has held numerous professional and collegiate coaching positions in Europe and the United States.
Obsajsnik began his playing career as a goalkeeper with the FC VSS Kosice Youth Soccer Program in 1960. He spent many years rising through the program before beginning a nine-year career with the First Division men’s side in 1971.
After concluding his playing career, Obsajsnik accepted his first coaching position in 1979 as the head coach of FC Pozemne Staby of the Second Division in Kosice.
Since relocating to the United States, Obsajsnik has worked as a coach throughout the collegiate ranks with stops at Boston College, Boston University, Southwest Missouri State, and Holy Cross.
He currently serves as the goalkeeping consultant for the New England Revolution’s Youth Development Program and will be working primarily with the goalkeepers here at Bryant.
