Brandon Beach was named Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance in August 2022. He joined the Bulldogs from Boston College, where he served as a football strength and conditioning assistant. Beach is entering his 20th season working at the Division I (FBS and FCS) and Division III levels, including 15 years as a Director within Sports Performance.
A former football player at James Madison University, Beach started on the defensive line and was part of the 2004 National Championship team, later inducted into the 2024 Hall of Fame. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition and Coaching, followed by a master’s degree in Athletic Administration.
Beach began his coaching career in August 2005 as an assistant at his alma mater. In June 2008, he joined Hofstra University as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, overseeing 15 sports and working closely with football and men’s and women’s lacrosse. In January 2010, he became Director of Strength and Conditioning at Wagner College, leading all 17 athletic programs and working directly with the football team. During his tenure, Wagner won its first NEC Championship in 2012 and secured the NEC’s first FCS playoff victory.
In April 2014, Beach was named Director of Strength and Conditioning at Bridgewater College (Va.), where he managed programming for 23 sports and 600+ student-athletes. Under his leadership, the Eagles earned six individual National Championships and multiple conference titles.
In 2019, Beach earned his Master Strength & Conditioning Coach (MSCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa), the highest distinction in the profession.
Beach is married to Lauren Pomeroy Beach of Wantage, N.J., and they have two children — daughter Brielle (13) and son Ryker (10).
