Biography
As a junior: Did not compete in any meets for the Bulldogs in 2016-17.
As a sophomore: Competed in five different events for the Bulldogs in 2015-16 ... Mainly swam the 100 breast and 200 breast ... Finished 14th in the 200 breast (2:28.14), 15th in the 100 breast (1:08.46) adn 22nd in the 400 IM (4:50.55) at the NEC Championships ... All three times were season bests ... Also competed in the 200 IM ... NEC Academic Honor Roll selection.
As a freshman: Put together a solid rookie season in 2014-15 ... Swam mainly the 100 and 200 breast ... Posted her best times of the year at the NEC Championships, recording a time of 1:07.02 in the 100 breast and 2:26.60 in the 200 breast ... Named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll.
Before Bryant: Swam at Patterson Mill Middle High School ... Achieved state and sectional times from 2012-14 ... National Honor Society member ... French Honor Society member.
Personal: The daughter of Priscilla and Jim Hickey, Shannon Hickey was born on Aug. 16, 1996 ... Has two brothers, Tom and Colin.
