As a sophomore: Enjoyed a strong year for the Bulldogs in 2016-17 ... Swam in seven different events throughout the year ... Posted top times in the 100 free (54.40) and the 200 free (1:56.91) at the NEC Championships.
As a freshman: Put together a solid rookie season for the Bulldogs in 2015-16 ... Swam in eight different events, mainly competing in the 50, 100 and 200 free events ... Competed in the 50 free (25.33), 100 free (54.70) and 100 breast (1:10.48) at the NEC Championships ... All three times were season bests ... Also competed in the 500 free, 200 breast, 100 back and 1000 free.
Before Bryant: A four-year varsity letterwinner at Needham ... Helped the Rockets go 21-3 over her final two years ... Named team MVP as a senior ... Honors student.
Personal: The daughter of Lisa and Mike Despres, Emilie Despres was born on Sept. 2, 1996 ... Has two sisters, Allison and Michelle.
