Billy Gordon is entering his fifth season as assistant swimming and diving coach and pool operator at Bryant.

Gordon has been instrumental in Bryant's transition to the America East Conference, helping the Black and Gold to top three finishes on both the men's and women's side in each of the last three years. Gordon was a member of the 2026 America East Women's Coaching Staff of the Year as the Bulldogs claimed their first title.

2025-26:
Historic season for the Bulldogs, with the women's program winning their first America East Championship.The men swam to a third-place finish. Bryant earned America East Women's Swimmer of the Meet and swept the diver of the meet honors. Bryant won seven gold medals, five silver medals and five bronze medals on the women's side, with Ruby Tonelli-Smith winning gold in the 100 fly, 200 fly and 200 IM on her way to swimmer of the meet honors. 

2024-25:
The Bryant women placed second, while the men placed third at the America East Championships. On the women's side, the Black and Gold won three individual golds and one relay gold medal, while the men had one individual gold and two relay gold medals. In addition, divers Chris Buonocore and Megan Beasley qualified for NCAA Zones. The men's 400m relay team capped off the exciting week with a meet record time of 2:56.82.

Gordon comes to Smithfield after four years as an assistant at LaSalle University in Philadelphia. During his tenure with the Explorers, Gordon led both sprint and mid-distance groups and coached athletes who broke Atlantic-10 records and set NCAA Provisional qualifying times. Gordon competed collegiately at East Carolina University and was a Conference-USA finalist during all four years of his career.
