As a freshman: Had a solid rookie season as a long distance runner.

Indoor – Primarily competed in the mile during the indoor season … Ran in the 800m and the 4x800 at the URI Tribute to Bill Falk and posted times of 2:05.77 in the 800m and 8:45.17 for a first-place finish in the 4x800 … Set a PR of 4:41.25 in the mile during his indoor debut at the Brown Invitational … Finished fourth in the mile at the Bates Invitational with a time of 4:48.26. 

Outdoor – Competed in the 800m, 1500m, and mile run … Posted best times of 2:03.16 in the 800m, 4:14.04 in the 1500m, and 4:51.68 in the mile ... Named to the NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll. 

Before Bryant: A letter-winner in cross country, Indoor/Outdoor Track and field and wrestling ... Helped his cross country team become Housatonic Division Champs the past three years ... Named SCC runner-up in the 4x800.

Personal: Son of Patrick and Debra Carpenter ... One of nine children with six brothers, Matt, Scott, Doug, Patrick, Alex and Mitchell and three sisters, Kaitlin, Miranda and Megan.
