Biography

Played first three seasons at Siena before transferring to Bryant in the fall of 2023.

2023-24 (Senior)

  • Posted an 8-10 record in singles ... Went 8-9 in dual matches ... Posted a 4-5 record at No. 3 singles.
  • Finished 10-6 in doubles play, including 9-4 in dual matches ... Went 8-3 at No. 1 doubles.
  • Picked up singles wins over Holy Cross, Sacred Heart, NJIT and Lehigh.
  • Earned doubles wins over Villanova, Boston U and Hofstra. 

2022-23 (JUNIOR):

  • Named Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 MAAC Men's Tennis Championship after winning three matches (2-0 at singles #4 position, 1-1 at doubles #3 position) versus No. 2 Quinnipiac and No. 1 Fairfield
  • Defeated Sam Hodges, of Fairfield, 6-2, 6-3, from the singles #4 position to help the Saints win its first MAAC Men's Tennis Championship; also teamed with Tomas del Olmo to defeat Alex Aguiar and Kaya Gore, of Fairfield, 6-4
  • Named to All-MAAC Second Team for #3 Doubles with Tomas del Olmo after compiling an overall record of 18-8 including a 5-1 record in conference play
  • Compiled a record of 17-7 in singles play including 4-1 in conference play 
  • Named MAAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 29

2021-22 (SOPHOMORE):

  • Second Team All-MAAC selection for No. 3 doubles
  • Named the MAAC Player of the Week on March 2
  • Went 12-7 in singles play as one of five Saints with double-digit victories
  • Went undefeated in play from the No. 3 (1-0), No. 5 (2-0), and No. 6 (1-0) slots
  • Compiled a 13-5 doubles record - including 10-4 from the No. 3 spot - to tie for the most doubles wins on the team

2020-21 (FRESHMAN):

  • Did not see any action

BEFORE SIENA:

  • Qualified for Florida's ITF Second Round once in his career after he moved to Florida from his native Mexico.
  • He has played tennis for 10 years
  • Helped teach tennis to younger kids in his spare time when he was home in Mexico
