As a freshman: Did not appear in any games in his first season with the Bulldogs.

Before Bryant: A 2010 graduate of Vestal High School, where he was a three-year varsity letterwinner and two-year starter… Led team to the league semifinals as a junior and senior… 2010 Section 4 First Team All-Star selection… Named a Section 4 Second Team All-Star and Adidas All-American in 2009… Also earned four varsity letters in swimming and one in football… Named a 2010 all-metro selection for swimming… Eagle Scout.

Personal: The son of Marty and Tina Murphy, Brian Martin Murphy was born September 26, 1991… Has two brothers, Matt and Neal, who plays rugby at Cornell.
