SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant men's tennis team will face the Longwood Lancers in the First Round of the Big South Championship on Thursday at 2:00 PM in Lexington, SC.
Bryant enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed while Longwood is the No. 3 seed. The winner will face the No. 2 seed NJIT on Friday at 6:00 PM.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Bryant and Longwood in men's tennis.

SEASON RECAP FOR BRYANT
- Bryant finished the regular season with a 4-15 record.
- The Bulldogs earned wins over Brandeis, Marist, Boston University, and Nichols.
- Bryant is led by sophomore Miguel Angel Machado. He went 12-6 in dual matches at No. 1 singles this spring.
- The doubles pair of Machado and junior Daniel Baquero went 7-6 in dual matches at No. 1 doubles this spring. They've gone 7-3 in their last 10 matches at the No. 1 spot
- The Bulldogs are in their inaugural season in the Big South conference as an associate member. Bryant aims for their first conference title since they won the NEC back in 2019, part of six straight NEC championships led by head coach Ron Gendron.

- Longwood is led by senior Timeo Puech. He is 20-6 overall and went 8-3 in dual matches at No. 1 singles this spring. He's set to face Machado in a rematch of the Big South fall singles championship, where he won 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
