SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant women's tennis team earned a pair of 4-3 victories over New Haven and Providence on Sunday afternoon.

The Bulldogs began the day with a 4-3 victory over New Haven. Despite dropping the doubles point, Bryant made up ground in singles play. Yahli Noy, Laura Stypula, Nicole Isman, and Maria Julia Gutierrez all earned victories. Isman picked up the clinch at No. 4 singles to secure the win for Bryant.

Bryant then faced Providence. They honored their four seniors prior to the match including Natalia Vela, Bella Tan, Lisa Dugec, and Lucia Pino. The Bulldogs sent the seniors off with a win in their final match on their home court, beating the Friars 4-3.

The Black and Gold swept doubles play to secure the point. The momentum carried over into singles play, taking the first three matches to earn the victory. Lisa Dugec picked up the clinch at No. 3 singles.

Bryant finishes the regular season with a 14-7 overall record. They earned the No. 3 seed in the OVC Championship and will face the No. 6 seed Tennessee State in the quarterfinal round on Friday, April 17.
