BRYANT, UALBANY MEET IN TITLE REMATCH SATURDAY IN ALBANY

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's lacrosse heads to Albany on Saturday to take on UAlbany in a rematch of last year's America East Tournament Championship. First draw is set for 12:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
  • Bryant is 2-6 all-time against UAlbany. The Bulldogs are 0-3 against the Great Danes in Albany.
  • The two teams met twice last season, with the Bulldogs claiming an 10-9 victory in the regular season. Lily Auger's goal with 3:08 proved to the game-winner, while Sam Centofante's save with 50 seconds left sealed the deal.
  • UAlbany exacted revenge in the America East Tournament, earning a 14-10 victory in the title game at Beirne Stadium. The game was tied 7-7 at the half but the Great Danes outscored Bryant 7-3 in the final 30 minutes to win the title.
NOTES AND NOTABLES
  • Bryant enters Saturday with a 8-5 overall record and a 3-0 record in America East. The Bulldogs are in second place, a half game behind 4-0 UAlbany.
  • The Bulldogs are 3-0 in America East play for the first time since joining the conference and have won their first three league games for the first time since 2022 when they started 7-0 in the NEC.
  • Gabriella Constant enters the weekend first on the team with 40 goals. She was held to just one goal last week vs New Hampshire but ranks in the top 40 nationally in goals per game. She has recorded 10 goals in three America East games.
  • Emily DeGeorge recorded seven points (6g, 1a) last Saturday and is second on the team with 40 points (34g, 6a). She has recorded a hat trick in each of her last eight games against America East foes and first in the league in goals per game (4.33) and second in points per game (5.33) in AE games.
  • Kaelynn O'Brien continues to pace the defensive effort with 30 ground balls, 37 caused turnovers and 34 draw controls. O'Brien ranks eighth nationally in caused turnovers per game.
  • Jessica Tosone is enjoying a career year with 31 ground balls, 31 caused turnovers and 29 draw controls. She had a career day at UML, posting three GBs, five CTs and four DCs.
  • O'Brien and Tosone rank 1-2 in the America East in ground balls and caused turnovers in AE games.
  • Ashling Marshall has scored in each of the last seven games, posting 11 goals in the span. 
  • Julia Girad is coming off a season-high 12 draw controls vs New Hampshire. She ranks sixth among freshmen nationally with 6.00 draw controls per game.
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
  • UAlbany enters the weekend at 9-4 overall and 4-0 in league play.
  • The Great Danes have played four ranked teams this season; No. 18 Stony Brook, No. 25 Harvard, No. 5 Syracuse and No. 12 Boston College.
  • Ravan Marsell leads the America East with 54 points on 22 goals and 32 assists.
  • Paisley Cook has scored 29 goals to lead the team. She also has 132 draw controls.
