HANOVER, N.H. –
Emily DeGeorge and
Gabriella Constant recorded hat tricks but No. 25 nationally-ranked Harvard pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Bryant women's lacrosse team, 18-8, on a cold and rainy Wednesday night at Beirne Stadium.
With the loss, Bryant falls to 1-2 on the year and drops to 0-4 in the all-time series against the Crimson. Bryant hosts Rhode Island on Saturday, Feb 21 in the second half of a men's and women's doubleheader. First draw is set for 3:00 p.m.
DeGeorge finished with three goals on five shots, while Constant scored on all three of her shots on goal.
Emma Wymes and
Sophia Fruci added a goal and an assist, while
Rylee Slate collected a pair of helpers.

How it Happened
- Bryant opened the scoring as Constant received the pass, spun and fired home for her first of the night.
- Harvard, however, scored the next four goals to take a 4-1 lead after the first quarter.
- Bryant came out flying in the second quarter as DeGeorge flung home a feed from Wymes before Constant finished a free position to make it a one-goal game (3-4).
- The two teams would trade goals the rest of the half, with Constant completing her hat trick with a free position shot over the goalies right shoulder.
- Sophia Fruci brought Bryant within a goal at the break as she curled out from behind the cage and fired a shot to the short side for her first career goal.
- Harvard opened the second half with three goals in first six minutes, including two from Charlotte Hodgson, to take a 9-5 lead.
- DeGeorge would answer with back-to-back goals, completing her hat trick with a marvelous behind the back shot (7-9).
- Wymes would pull Bryant back within two goals at the start of the fourth quarter as she cut to the net and then out-waited the goalie before finishing.
- Harvard, however, scored four times in the next three minutes to grab a 13-8 lead.
