BRENTWOOD, TN – Natalia Vela earned OVC singles player of the week honors, announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Vela swept the weekend in singles play. She defeated Quinnipiac on Saturday 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2 singles and beat Hofstra on Sunday 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. She also earned the win at No. 1 doubles with Maria Jose Hernandez over Hofstra, 6-3. Vela improved her singles record in dual matches to 3-1 this spring.

This is the first time this season Bryant has received an OVC player of the week award in women's tennis.

The Bulldogs return on Saturday against Marist at 4:30 PM at Fore Court in Cumberland, RI.
