SMITHFIELD, R.I. — The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team opened the 2026–27 season with a 189-111 victory against Fairfield.
With the win, the Bulldogs are now 2-2 all-time against the Stags.

Notes and Notables:
- Freshman Jay Seon kicked off his collegiate debut with a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive (259.95). He also finished second in the 3-meter event with a score of 224.48.
- David Cicero, Christian Simpson, James Misto and Nick Andrews finished first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:33.13. Bryant's other medley relay team followed closely behind with a time of 1:33.85.
- Patrick Maldonado came out on top in the 1000 free with a time of 9:57.88.
- Freshman David Cicero took first in the 100 back, followed closely by Calix Hammett and Zach Proulx in the two and three spots.
- Christian Simpson had three first-place finishes in the 200 back, 200 IM and 200 free.
