NEWARK.- Dawson Rielly and Owen West combined for 12 points on Saturday, helping power the Bryant men's lacrosse team to a dominant 15-6 victory over NJIT in Newark.
With the win, the Black and Gold improve to 3-1 in America East play and 6-4 overall. Bryant will head on the road to battle Bucknell in Farmingdale, N.Y. on Saturday, Apr. 12. Face-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
Rielly finished with six points on the day, tying his career high and logging his third five goal game of the season. West recorded his first career hat trick and tallied his first collegiate assists (3) on Saturday.Â
Brian Russell ended the afternoon with four points (2g, 2a), scoring multiple goals for the fourth time this season. Zac Amend extended his streak of multi-goal games to four thanks to a pair of scores today. Amend has five multi-goal games this season.

How it Happened
- NJIT would strike first on Saturday, as Will Labartino (14:20) and Michael Rettberg (11:31) would score the first two goals of the game.
- Bryant got on the board with 3:39 to play in the first quarter after Patrick Walsh got a pair of Highlander defenders to switch, freeing up Dawson Rielly for an uncontested run at the cage.
- NJIT concluded the first quarter with a goal from Alystair Hemberger with 30 seconds to play.
- Zac Amend brought the score to within one after burying a shot in the top right corner of the net with 8:18 in the second quarter.
- Owen West sprinted from behind the back X and tied the game after diving towards the left side cage with 5:19 to play.
- Zac Amend created space on a question mark dodge near the crease and recorded his second score of the day with 3:50 to play in the first half.
