Despite a Four-Goal Performance from Auger and Constant, The Bulldogs Drop to No. 22 Harvard

Cambridge, MA -- On the evening, The Crimson defeated Bryant 23-12 in a non-conference match-up over The Charles. Lily Auger ripped four goals for the Bulldogs earning a hat trick, setting her season-high for goals in a game. Constant followed closely behind with a strong second-half performance. However, with five goals each from Harvard's Charlotte Hodgson and Callie Batchelder, the Black and Gold drew short 11 goals at the buzzer.

How It Happened:

First Quarter
Bryant and Harvard continuously dished out goals in a quick back and forth on the field, Lily Auger started the Bulldogs off with two quick goals to put her on the scoreboard for the Bulldogs this season. Harvard's Hodgson clapped back with three goals, while Constant entered the scoring scene early shifting moment to allow Katter's smooth buzzer-beater at the end of the first quarter.

Second Quarter
Harvard pulled ahead in the second quarter, out-scoring Bryant 8-3, though Auger and Katter continued their campaign to get the Bulldogs back in play. With an extended lead due to Harvard's breakdown of the Bryant defense, they went into the half 15-9.

Third Quarter
Continuing their scoring brigade, Harvard kept their lead in the fourth, controlling most of the possession causing them to outscore Bryant 6-1, with Shea and Batchelder running the scoreboard, while Harvard's defense only allowed Bryant one power-play goal.

Fourth Quarter
In the fourth, Harvard slowed moment continuously but was able to keep their high 11-goal lead only contributing three more goals to the final say. Bryant was also able to pick up two more goals from Katter and Constant to end the Bulldog-Crimson competition. As the clock wined down to 00:00 Bryant left with 12 goals to Harvard's 23.
