Bulldogs Down the Rams 19-5

SMITHFIELD, RI – In an Ocean State showdown on Wednesday evening, Bryant (4-2) secured a victory over Rhode Island (2-2) at Beirne Stadium. With a Riley O'Mara led game, the Bulldogs controlled possession and capitalized on scoring opportunities to earn a 19-5 win, handing the Rams their second loss of the season.

Bryant is now 4-2 on the season.

How It Happened:


Quarter 1:

Bryant wasted no time getting on the board, with Riley O'Mara striking first just a little over a minute into play. Even though URI answered the Bulldog's first goal into the game, the Bulldogs continued to build momentum, scoring seven goals in the quarter while holding Rhode Island to two.

Quarter 2:

The second quarter saw both teams exchange goals, but Bryant remained in control leading the game by at least four goals consistently. Isabelle Katter and Gabriella Constant each found the back of the net, extending Bryant's lead to 12-4 at halftime.

Quarter 3:

Bryant's defensive unit shut down the Rams in the third quarter, holding them scoreless. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs added five more goals, including one from Elise Larsen to push the lead to 17-4.

Quarter 4:

Rhode Island's Aerin Keesser managed to break through in the fourth quarter, but Bryant closed out the game with two more goals, sealing a 19-5 victory.
