MEN'S SWIM AND DIVE FALL JUST SHORT OF HOLY CROSS

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Bryant men's swimming and diving team fell just short in a back-and-forth dual, edged 154–146 by Holy Cross on Friday at the Hart Center.

Meet Highlights

Bryant's top relay of Roman San Juan, Nick Austin, Tim Andrews, and James Misto was disqualified for a false start in the 200 medley relay, but the "B" team of Ryan Connors, Derek McIntyre, Clinton Cupples, and Herrick Stevenson finished second in 1:37.42.
Patrick Maldonado (9:57.35) and Raymond Stelmark (10:02.63) went 2–3 in the 1000 freestyle.
Arthur Newton (1:43.50) and Nick Andrews (1:44.44) took second and third in the 200 freestyle.
Calix Hammett led got firs in the 100 backstroke, winning in 52.71, followed by Zach Proulx (53.23).
T. Andrews captured the 100 butterfly (50.48), leading a Bryant 1–2 finish with Misto (51.52).
Christopher Buonocore dominated diving, winning both boards — 338.40 points on 1-meter (a pool record) and 335.40 on 3-meter.
Maldonado won the 500 freestyle in 4:44.55, with Stelmark third (4:47.72).
Bryant closed with a victory in the 400 free relay, as Misto, Hammett, Andrews, and Newton took first in 3:07.68.
