WORCESTER, MA -- The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team competed in WPI's Gompei Invitational this weekend, at the WPI Sports and Recreation Center.
The Black and Gold secured a dual victory, winning both the men's and women's meets.
Notes and Notables:
- James Misto took first place in the 50 Yard Freestyle, securing the only top-three finish for the Bulldogs in the 50 free.
- For the 200 Yard IM, Tim Andrews, Aidan Trenery, and Roman San Juan all finished in the top six (2nd, 4th, 6th,) with Nick Toepfer finishing in the tenth spot.
- The Bulldogs Medley Relay team A (Toepfer, Ferguson, Andrews, Misto) took first with a time of 1:32.26.
- Griffin Lajoie took first place in the 200-yard Backstroke with a time of 1:50.97. The Bulldogs went one, two, and three with Toepfer taking second (1:52.59) and Ossi taking third (1:54.06).
- Connor Lofstrom took second place in the 100-yard IM with Nick Austin coming in third with 53.00.
- Nick Andrews Took fifth place in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a 1:59.00.
- Roman San Juan and Aidan Tenery took fourth and fifth in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:11.11 and 4:11.30.
- Nick Austin took first in the 50 Yard Backstroke.
- Jack Ferguson took fifth place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.
