Dive Coach Mary Ellen Clark Added to Swim and Dive Staff

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant swimming and diving head coach Katie Cameron announced the addition of Olympic medalist Mary Ellen Clark as the head diving coach for the upcoming 2024-25 season. 

About Mary Ellen Clark:
Mary Ellen Clark is a two-time Olympic medalist, earning bronze in diving at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. A dominant figure in American diving, she is a seven-time national champion and a ten-time member of the U.S. national team. With over 40 years of coaching experience at various levels, including age group, high school, and collegiate, Mary Ellen has established herself as an influential and successful coach.

As a collegiate diver at Penn State, Mary Ellen won seven out of eight conference championships on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards and was a four-time All-American. Her success in college laid the foundation for her pursuit of Olympic dreams, where she trained under renowned coach Ron O'Brien, an eight-time Olympic coach. At Amherst College, Mount Holyoke, and Wellesley College, Mary Ellen maintained a remarkable 100% track record of bringing her divers to nationals, with many achieving top-eight finishes.
