SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's swimming and diving team captured a victory over Binghamton this weekend with a final score of 195-158 at Saunders Aquatic Center.
Thanks to over five first-place finishes for the Lady Bulldogs, the women secured their second win of the season, placing them 2-0.
Notes and Notables:
- Megan Beasley led the Bulldogs in diving, winning both the 1m (284.10) and the 3m (247.05) dives.
- Jacqui Fox placed first in the 200 back (2:05.54) and 100 back (57.38). Fox also contributed to the 200 medley relay along with Jocie Niemczyk, Sofia Doersch, and Marcella Figueroa With a time of 1:46.18.
- Record breaker, Amanda Witkus, tackled the butterfly events, claiming first in the 200 fly with the new Bryant women's 200 fly record time of 2:02.40 well also posting a time of 56.55 in the 100 fly.
- Makayla Pearce dominated the long-distance events finishing first in the 1000 free (10:18.09) and capturing a time of 5:05.20 in the 500 free. Pearce also placed second in the 200 free.
- The 200-free relay team of Niemczyk, Schow, Doersch, and Figueroa secured a first-place finish with a time of 1:36.21.
- The 400-yard medley squad (Fox, Niemczyk, Tonelli, and Carline) grabbed second with a 3:51.73.
- Clara Steen impressed in the 200 IM clocking in at 2:07.45 for first place.

The Bulldogs will head to Providence College on Saturday, November 1st, for an Ocean State matchup.
