COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Bryant University men's tennis team earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Northern Colorado on Friday afternoon at the United States Air Force Academy. Bryant fell to host Air Force in the second match of the day.   

Bryant is now 3-6 on its 10-game season-opening trip. The Bulldogs play their 10th and final match on Saturday evening against Weber St.

How It Happened

• Bryant was able to claim the doubles point against Northern Colorado, winning at 1 and 2.
• Wilson Dong (Bradenton, Fla.) and Trent Massam (Wellington, New Zealand) won at 1, while Grant Pertile (Edgartown, Mass.) and Alexander Schou (Holte, Denmark) won at 2.
• In singles, Massam and Schou completed perfect days, while Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) rallied to win in three sets at 3.
• Ortiz-Garcia trailed for a majority of the third set before coming back to earn the win in the tiebreak.
• Against Air Force, Dong and Massam were victorious at 1 doubles but the Falcons clinched the point at 2 and 3. 
• In singles play, Andrew Pregel (Cincinnati, Ohio) went three sets at 4 and Anshumat Srivastava (Patna, India) went to a tiebreak in his first set at 6.
