BULLDOGS TRAVEL TO ALBANY FRIDAY TO TAKE ON GREAT DANES AT 3
P.M.
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University field hockey team
hopes to earn its first win of the year when the Bulldogs head to
Albany, N.Y. to take on the 19th-ranked University at
Albany Great Danes Friday afternoon at 3 p.m.
The Bulldogs (0-7) are looking to rebound from a loss to
intrastate rival Brown while Albany (4-1) is coming off of a strong
6-1 win against St. Louis. This will be the first-ever meeting
between the two schools.
Bryant is led offensively by Courtney Landi
(Kingston, N.Y.) and Elise Boissoneau
(Ashburnham, Mass.) who have four and two goals,
respectively. Defensively, the Bulldogs lean on Jennifer Gullotti
(Waltham, Mass.), whose 8.14 saves per game ranks second
among all Northeast Conference goalies.
The Great Danes are anchored by the strong goalie play of Kristi
Troch. In four appearances, Troch has recorded a save percentage of
.889 and has posted a 3-0 mark.
Bryant has a quick turnaround as they travel to Hamilton, N.Y.
Saturday to take on Colgate University.
