FRIDAY
box score
WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - The Bryant University women's lacrosse
team dropped a 13-5 non-conference decision at Monmouth University
Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs got three goals from junior
Allison Faiola (Billerica, MA) but were outshot 29
to 17 in the game.
Monmouth (4-5) raced out to a quick 2-0 lead before
Delia Glover (Marston Mills, MA) scored at 19:31
to make it a one-goal game. Monmouth would out-score the
Bulldogs four to one to take a 6-2 lead at halftime.
Failola would score her second goal of the game to start the
second half to make it 6-3, but it was all Monmouth from there as
the hosts would score six unanswered goals over the next 16 minutes
to put the game away. Caitlin Kelly scored a game-best
four goals for MU while Megan Brennan added three tallies as the
Hawks picked up their fourth win in-a-row.
Bryant (2-5) goalie Lauren Fillipone (West Babylon,
NY) made nine saves in the game. The loss snaps a
two-game win streak for the Bulldogs who will return to action this
Sunday with a game at Sacred Heart (1 pm).
