BRYANT WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO ADELPHI 20-6

HEMPSTEAD, NY - The Bryant University women's lacrosse team
closed out the regular season with a 20-6 non-conference loss at
Adelphi University Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs will open
Northeast-10 Conference tournament action this Wednesday afternoon
hosting a quarterfinal game starting at 4 p.m.
The Bulldogs were out-shot by the undefeated Panthers, 39 to 14
in the game including 28 to 8 in the first half as Adelphi led 15-3
at the break before tacking on five more runs in the second.
Adelphi raced out quickly in front, 6-0 before goals by Allison
Faiola and Lauren Albert made it 6-2 midway through the first. But
six unanswered goals by the Panthers, including two from Megan
Metelenis put the hosts up 11-2 and Adelphi never looked back.
Senior Caitlin Hansen had two goals and one assist while Faiola
finished with two goals in the game.
