MEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS FRANKLIN PIERCE 16-6

RINDGE, NH - Matt McKeefrey scored three goals while Bryan
Kauffman and Adam Smith each scored twice to lead the Bryant
University men's lacrosse team to a 16-6 win over Franklin Pierce
Sunday. The Bulldogs (6-3, 4-1 NE-10) will host Southern NH
Wednesday and Merrimack next Saturday.
The Bulldogs led 4-1 after the first quarter as senior Steve
Coppinger got things started with a goal two minutes into the
contest on an assist from Adam Smith. McKeefrey made it 2-0
shortly after with a goal again from a feed from Smith. The
Ravens cut the lead to 2-1 before Bryant's Craig Buckhout and Brad
Burkhardt closed out the quarter with goals.
Bryant would continue to roll from there, taking an 8-1 lead
into the locker room at the half and leading 12-1 before the Ravens
found the back of the net late in the third.
Andrew Hennessey won 18 of 26 face-offs while Brad Burkhardt
made three saves in net in splitting time with Michael Kennedy who
added seven saves in earning the win.
