Women's Lacrosse Defeats Assumption 20-4

BRYANT WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS ASSUMPTION, 20-4

SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant women's lacrosse offense clicking on all cylinders on Thursday evening exploding for 20 goals.  This was the third time this season that the Bulldogs have put 20 or more goals on the scoreboard. Bryant won the game 20-4, scoring 10 goals in each half on way to their third consecutive victory. The Bulldogs now improve to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the Northeast-10. Assumption falls to 2-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

Junior Lauren Carlisle (San Diego, CA) and freshman Delia Glover (Marston Mills, MA) paced the Bulldogs offense with four goals each. The Bulldogs would take a 6-1 lead half way through the first half when the game was halted for a 47 minute delay due to lightning. When play resumed, the Bulldogs remained hot scoring four more goals before the end of the half.

Shaun Leddy (Sea Grit, NJ) added two goals and two assists to increase her season goal total to a team high 25. Greyhounds senior Jenny Mongeau (Wesetboro, MA) led Assumption with two goals.

Samantha Libby (Penacook, NH) had 12 saves on 16 Assumption shots to earn the win. Bryant will host  Franklin Pierce on Monday evening at 7:00 pm.
