BRYANT FALLS TO FRANKLIN PIERCE 5-3
RINDGE, N.H. (April 24, 2005) -
Second-seeded Franklin Pierce advanced to its second
Northeast-10 Conference Championship match in three years with a
5-3 victory over third-seeded Bryant University in semifinal round
action of the Northeast-10 Tournament, hosted by Stonehill College
late Saturday night.
The Bulldogs got wins from Erik Zipp at No. 1 singles and freshman
Craig Drushella at No. 4 singles. Bryant, falls to 13-7
record overall, and now awaits word on a possible NCAA Tournament
bid.
