BRYANT MEN DEFEAT PACE 5-1
Northeast-10 Conference Men's Tennis Quarterfinals
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University men's tennis team
opened up the 2005 Northeast-10 Conference tournament with a 5-1
win over visiting Pace University here Wednesday.
The Bulldogs opened the match winning two of three doubles and
got a strong performance from No. 1 singles player Erik Zipp who
earned a straight-set win over Paul Kosinski, 6-0, 6-1.
Zach Goodman and Sean Authier each earned singles wins at No. 3
and No. 6 singles respectively as the Bulldogs will now advance to
the semifinals Saturday in Easton, Mass.
The Bulldogs, seeded third, will take on Franklin
Pierce, the No. 2 seed of the tournament.
