SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The five-time defending Northeast Conference Champion Bryant men's tennis team has received the top seed for this weekend's championship tournament, the league office announced on Monday.

Bryant will serve as the No. 1 seed for the seventh-straight season after posting a perfect 5-0 record against league opponents during the regular season. The Bulldogs have won 16-straight NEC regular-season matches.

The Bulldogs will receive a bye in the quarterfinal round and begin their quest for a sixth-straight title on Friday, April 19.

Bryant has advanced to the NEC title match in all six years of postseason eligibility, winning each of the last five tournaments. The Bulldogs' five-straight NEC titles are a league record.
