SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University softball coach Lisa-Ann Wallace is pleased to announce the naming of the 2010 team captains for the upcoming season following a vote by the team. This year’s captains representing the team as they prepare for the program’s second year of Division I competition this spring are: Ashley Coon, Ali Chouinard and Samantha Houseal.

SMITHFIELD, RI - The 2010 Bryant University softball schedule is ready as the Bulldogs prepare to begin their second year competing at the Division I level this spring. The Bulldogs will open the year at the Spring Rebel Games in Orlando and the Ragun Cajun tournament in Louisiana before returning home to host Holy Cross on March 16 at 4 pm.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Playing in their first season at the Division I level, the Bryant University softball team finished with a very respectable 11 wins overall, including posting a 5-5 record against future Northeast Conference opponents. The record does not tell the whole story however, as the Bulldogs showed tremendous improvement throughout the season, playing tough against some of the top teams in the Northeast region.
