TEAM USA MEETS FOR FINAL TRAINING SESSION OCTOBER 30-31; OFFICAL 23-MAN ROSTER TO BE ANNOUNCED MONDAY

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Bryant University and Team USA head men's lacrosse coach Mike Pressler and his 41-man training roster will meet for its third and final training weekend Oct. 30-31 on the campus of Stony Brook University, and it will be the players' final chance to impress their way onto the official 23-man roster, to be announced Monday afternoon.

The 41 players selected following this summer's tryouts at Bryant University will convene on Long Island for two final days of training and exhibition before the five Team USA coaches, led by Pressler, select the 23-man U.S. National Team roster for the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championships, held July 10-24 in Manchester, England.

The team will practice Friday, Oct. 30 before hosting a youth clinic from 3-5 p.m. On Saturday, the team will play one final Blue and White intersquad scrimmage before the final team is selected.

Those who are not named to the 23-man roster will remain in the pool of alternates.

The team will be announced on Monday, Nov. 2, followed by a teleconference with Pressler at 2 p.m. EST.
