THRESHER NAMED NEC GOLFER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND-STRAIGHT WEEK

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- For the second time in as many weeks, senior Jason Thresher (West Suffield, Conn.) was named the Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week, as announced by league officials Wednesday.

Thresher won the 75th annual New England Intercollegiate Golf (NEIGA) Championships with a score of 141. The senior shot a 73 on Monday, following it up with a brilliant round of 68 to take the overall title.

He finished three under par on the 36-hole Championship to earn his fourth-consecutive top-10 finish of the fall season.
