SMITHFIELD, RI - Former Bryant men's basketball standouts Chris Burns '07 (Merrimack, NH) and Mike Williams '04 (Manchester, CT) are currently members of the American Basketball Association (A.B.A.) Manchester (NH) Millrats.

Williams was a Northeast-10 All-Conference selection and the league's defensive player of the year in 2004-05, averaging 11.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a senior.  He holds Bryant's single game block record (11), single season block record (90) and career blocks record (301).  In three NCAA regional playoff games in 2005, Williams grabbed an amazing 35 rebounds and blocked 19 shots in leading the Bulldogs to the 2005 Northeast Regional title during the team's historic run to the Division II NCAA Championship game.

After graduating from Bryant, Williams played professionally in Portugal, the ABA, Switzerland, and Italy.  He opened the 2006-07 season with the Italian club Aget Imola and led the First Division in rebounding an injury sideline him in December.

Burns, the Chevrolet Most Valuable Player of the 2005 NCAA Championship game, concluded his career 13th all-time in school history with 1,362 career points and third all-time with 282 career 3-point field goals.

A transfer from Providence College, Burns averaged 15.8 points per game and 3.3 assists per game in earning second team all-conference honors as a senior at Bryant in 2006-07.  He attended the Manchester Millrats open tryout camp but accepted an invitation to the Albany Patroons of the CBA training camp this past fall.  After an injury while playing with the Patroons, Burns recently joined the Millrats club.

The Manchester Millrats roster includes former Florida guard Rashid Al-Kaleem, former UConn center Souleymane Wane and former Providence forward Rob Sanders.
