SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University Athletics Department has kept it's strangle hold on the Northeast Conference Men's Commissioner's Cup, claiming it for the fourth-straight year in 2016-17.

The Bulldogs posted 94.66 points on the men's side, claiming the crown for the fourth year in a row. Bryant accumulated 191.77 points total, finishing third behind Sacred Heart and Saint Francis U. in the race for the Brenda Weare Commissioner's Cup.

"What an accomplishment for all our student-athletes!" Director of Athletics Bill Smith said. "To win four-straight Men's Cups is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our athletes, coaches and staff. Every day, we strive to be leaders in the NEC in competition, and in all facets of student-athlete life. Congratulations to our programs on their hard work and continued success, and on another incredible recognition of their efforts."

Bryant used another dominant spring to put the clamps on its fourth-straight men's crown. Men's tennis, men's lacrosse and men's golf all claimed NEC titles, while baseball picked up its sixth-straight regular-season championship.

The Bulldogs also won a regular-season and tournament title in women's lacrosse, finished second in women's swimming and diving and advanced to the championship game in women's basketball.
